We have been to Chilitos Mexican Grill in Riverside more than any other restaurant. Often it’s just me and my wife since this is her favorite place to go for lunch when the kids are in school.
The food is good, the prices are reasonable, and the owners and employees always make us feel welcome. Not only is the food good, but it is consistently good. The food is always hot, always fresh and always tasty. We have never had a bad eating experience here.
One of our prerequisites for good Mexican food is good carne asada, and Chilitos delivers. My wife loves the carne asada tacos, which are made with soft corn tortillas and served with cilantro and onions (we usually skip the cilantro and onions and add some of their great salsas instead). My daughter usually gets the carne asada plate, which is always too much for her so I get to help. My boys enjoy the kid’s quesadilla and bean and cheese burrito.
At many restaurants, I tend to find one meal that I really like. At Chilitos, I change up frequently. Usually I’ll get the carne asada tacos or a carne asada burrito, but sometimes I’ll go with the enchiladas or taquitos. One thing that doesn’t change is that we always start with one of their great quesadillas.
If you want good, fresh Mexican food, you can’t go wrong with Chilitos.

Food is great and very delicious. Prices are very reasonable. It’s half way between a fast food place and a sit down restaurant. You can’t go wrong choosing this place.
