A few nights ago, we ordered pizza from Domino’s for the first time in many years. I’ve seen the commercials about the improvements the company has made, and I am happy to say that the food was better than I remember.
What really stood out to me was the ordering process. After placing my order online, I was directed to the Pizza Tracker, which showed me the progress of my order in real time.
I also received an email with an estimated delivery time of 24 – 34 minutes. Our doorbell rang in just about 30 minutes.
So how was the food? The kids and I thoroughly enjoyed our thin crust pizza, although it seems wrong when a round pizza is cut into square pieces instead of slices. My wife liked her deep dish pizza about as much as she normally likes a delivery pizza (pizza snob). The pizzas were delivered hot and with all toppings intact.
We also tried the Stuffed Cheesy Bread with Bacon & Jalapeno. Just like the commercial shows, there is a lot of cheese in this Cheesy Bread. The jalapenos were fresh and plentiful, and there was just the right amount of bacon to add some good flavor without becoming overpowering.
Domino’s just took the lead in the pizza delivery competition in our household.
